How we list

Sources. Shopping rosters come from public Google Maps data via a census pull we ran on 2026-10-04, cross-checked against official backbones (the USDA SNAP retailer locator, food-bank partner lists). Pantry and free-meal entries come only from the food banks' and programs' own published pages — never inferred, never scraped from third parties.

Ordering. Card order shuffles on every page load. It is not a ranking.

Verification labels. Every listing carries its source and the date we checked it. probe means map/published data; phone means we called and confirmed. Pantry entries always say "call to confirm" — hours change more often than any page can track.

SNAP status. Where we haven't confirmed a store accepts SNAP, the card says so — we don't guess.

Corrections. Something wrong or closed? Email [email protected] and we fix it same day.
